What is library music anyway?

Library music (also known as production music) is music specifically written and recorded for use in film, television and the wider media. The music you find on this website can be licensed quickly, easily and cost effectively via PRS for music at the following link: https://musicshop.prsformusic.com/lmgr/
There are no pre-clearance issues to worry about. Simply enter the details of the track including the useage type to get a quote. Once you have obtained a licence simply download the music you want to use in your production. It really is that easy.
The music is high quality and comes in a variety of genres. For ease of use there is a selection of edited cuts of each track and all are available as Wav, Aiff, and broadcast quality 320Kbps MP3.

Listen. License. Download. Easy.

Studio Construction completed

Over the last couple of months we have been busy building a new studio with more space for recording the ever increasing number of live musicians we seem to have accumulated/assimilated over the years! The work is now complete and we we are looking forward to recording some great new music over the coming weeks and months. We have a room dedicated to bespoke composition with a large TV screen for writing to picture, an extended live room, a control room for mixing and monitoring, and a state-of-the-art mastering suite for adding the finishing touches. Yes there’s lots of new shiny kit but the focus is definitely on keeping the great atmosphere of our live sessions and keeping our library music fresh and relevant for the 21st century. For more updates on new music you can join us/follow us on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all our clients, present and future. In 2016 we were very busy on the bespoke composition side of things, and also working behind the scenes updating the website. We plan to have a number of new CD’s online over the next few months so watch this space! Follow us on Twitter and Like us on Facebook for more immediate updates.

Website download issues

We are currently experiencing some technical problems when downloading tracks from the website. If you are experiencing any difficulties and are unable to download wav or aiff files, please contact us and we will send you the files by other means. We are working to fix the problem and apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Website Maintenance…

This week (14th -20th March 2016) we are updating and uploading multiple versions of our existing music tracks to the Moogang Music website. In the unlikely event that you should experience any disruption please contact us by phone or email and we will be happy to help. Normal services will be resumed from Monday 21st March!

Shaken but not stirred…the day we did a Bond movie (sort of!)

We teamed up with Imagination to do the “Bond” music for a film promoting the Ford Ka for the Paris Car Show 2008. Footage is from Quantum of Solace which we have just used to test our new Youtube Channel. All this Bond excitement about the new movie Spectre prompted a revisit to the Moogang archives! It still sounds good although the drums would be very different had we had a little more time on it. But the rest of the track works well and was great fun to do. Ludovico Einaudi shares his wisdom on music for film

Film and television composers generally have different ways of working when it comes to working with images. I think, personally, that it is essential to work with images while composing because the music and film have to work seamlessly for the audience. This is also the way Ludovico Einaudi composes his scores. Here is a short film where he discusses how he approaches composing with images.
